The project is being developed and currently owned by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation.

Nugur Phase II is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 3,522.84 million cubic meter. The net head of the project will be 26.49m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 5 in number. The penstock diameter will be 4.6m. The project is expected to generate 787.78 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $291.72m.

The hydro power project consists of 5 turbines, each with 42MW nameplate capacity.

The project has 5 electric generators that will be installed at the project site.
