Description

The project is developed and owned by Algonquin Power & Utilities and Geronimo Wind Energy. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

The project generates 832GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 10,500 households, offsetting 368,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $330m.

The project has 80m high towers.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Northern States Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 200MW.

Contractors Involved

Wanzek Construction was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 100 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
