Olkaria – Lessos – Kisumu Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 308km from Geothermal Power Plant Olkaria, Naivasha, Kenya, to Kisumu, Dunga Hill, Kenya.

The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.


Olkaria – Lessos – Kisumu Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Kenya Electricity Transmission. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The development of the Olkaria – Lessos – Kisumu Line project has been approved by the The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
