Omskaya CHPP-5 is a 735MW coal fired power project. It is located in Omsk, Russia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1976 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1980.

The project is currently owned by Territorial Generation Company No. 11 with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is hard coal. In case of shortage of hard coal the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Ekibastuz Coal Mine.
The project construction commenced in 1976 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1980.
The Coal fired project have been supplied by Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Ural Turbine Works.
NPO Elsib supplied TVF-120-2, Hydrogen Cooled electric generator for the project.
