Description

The project was developed by Astronergy and International Company for Water and Power Projects. The project is currently owned by ACWA Power Renewable Energy Holding with a stake of 75%, Astronergy and Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy.

Ouarzazate Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 210 hectares.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 86,539t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $220m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Office National de l’Electricite et de l’Eau Potable under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.047kWh for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

CHINT Group, Shapoorji Pallonji and Sterling and Wilson Solar were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Zhejiang Chint New Energy Development was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 223,440 modules at the site.

Ingeteam Corporacion supplied 16 inverters to the project site.

Ingeteam Corporacion is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
