The project is currently owned by Duke Energy Florida with a stake of 100%.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil.
The project generated 7,043,247MWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,801.02m.
The project got commissioned in June 2009.
The Gas fired project have been supplied by Mitsubishi Power and Siemens.
The electric generators for the project were procured from Mitsubishi Power and Siemens.
Vogt Power International supplied steam boiler for the project.
