Pacifico Energy-Hosoe Mega Solar PV Park is a 96.2MW solar PV power project. It is located in Miyazaki, Japan. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in February 2018.

The project was developed by Pacifico Energy. GE Energy Financial Services and Pacifico Energy are currently owning the project.

Pacifico Energy-Hosoe Mega Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 140 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 68,200t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $198.726m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in February 2018.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 63MW.

Contractors Involved

Toyo Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 300,000 modules at the site.

GE’s Power Conversion supplied 50 of its Brilliance inverters inverters to the project site.

Asahi Dengyo is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
