Plovdiv – Maritsa East Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 100km from Plovdiv, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, to Maritsa East, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2022.

Description

Plovdiv – Maritsa East Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Electroenergien Sistemen Operator. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $25m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
