Pocoes III Substation is a 500/230kV substation located in Pocoes, Bahia, Brazil. The construction works on Pocoes III Substation began in 2019. The project was commissioned in 2021.
Description
The Pocoes III Substation project is an upgrade substation being operated by Operador Nacional do Sistema Eletrico.
The designed voltage level of the project is 500/230kV, while the operating voltage level is 500/230kV. The step-in voltage of the substation is 500kV and the step-out voltage is 230kV. The substation capacity is 600MVA.
Pocoes III Substation has received approval from Ministry of Mines and Energy, Brazil to undertake the works on the project.
