Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during April 2020 with a 56.9% share.

The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 170 contracts and a 79.4% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: 24 contracts and an 11.2% share
  3. Supply & Erection: 15 contracts and a 7% share

Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 153 contracts and a share of 71.5% during April 2020, followed by Asia-Pacific with 26 contracts and a 12.1% share and North America with 25 contracts and an 11.7% share.
