Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during December 2019 with a 42.7% share.

The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 40 contracts and a 47.1% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: 25 contracts and a 29.4% share
  3. Supply & Erection: 18 contracts and a 21.2% share

Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 46 contracts and a share of 54.1% during December 2019, followed by Asia-Pacific with 17 contracts and a 20% share and North America with 11 contracts and a 12.9% share.

  2. Statkraft (Norway): 252MW from one contract
