Europe power industry contracts in November 2022: Spain leads activity

Looking at contracts by country, Spain led the activity in November 2022 with six contracts and a share of 28.6%, up 1.9% over the previous month and down 14% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Turkey with three contracts and a share of 14.3% and Germany with three contracts and a share of 14.3% during the month.

Looking at the last 12-month average, the UK held the top spot with 16 contracts, followed by Germany with eight and Spain with seven contracts.

Solar is top technology area for contracts in November 2022

Looking at contracts divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 13 contracts and a 59.1% share, followed by wind with seven contracts and a 31.8% share and hydro with one contract and a 4.5% share.

Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, Electricity Procurement was the most popular segment in November 2022, with 17 contracts, followed by Power Plant (5) and T&D Equipment (1).

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
