Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during Q3 2019 with a 52.2% share.
The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 217 contracts and a 62.4% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 70 contracts and a 20.1% share
- Supply & Erection: 44 contracts and a 12.6% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: nine contracts and a 2.6% share
- Electricity Supply: six contracts and a 1.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two contracts and a 0.6% share.

Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 182 contracts and a share of 52.3% during Q3 2019, followed by Asia-Pacific with 72 contracts and a 20.7% share and North America with 54 contracts and a 15.5% share.
