Gas was the top category in thermal technology in terms of number of contracts for the quarter, accounting for 49 contracts and a 58.3% share, followed by Coal with 26 contracts and a 31% share. Oil stood in third place with nine contracts and a 10.7% share.

Comparing contracts activity in thermal technology in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 35 contracts and a share of 43.2% during Q3 2019, followed by North America with 15 contracts and an 18.5% share and Europe with 14 contracts and a 17.3% share.

In fourth place was Middle East and Africa with 14 contracts and a 17.3% share and in fifth place was South and Central America with three contracts and a 3.7% share.
