Europe power industry tenders in July 2021: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in July 2021 with 31 tenders and a share of 28.7%, down 1.3% over the previous month and up 11% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by France with 11 tenders and a share of 10.2% and Germany with seven tenders and a share of 6.5% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 28 tenders, followed by Germany with ten and France with seven tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in July 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 22 tenders and a 41.5% share, followed by thermal with 15 tenders and a 28.3% share and hydro with six tenders and an 11.3% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in July 2021, with 33 tenders, followed by Power Plant (28) and T&D Equipment (22).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 50 tenders and a 46.3% share
- Supply & Erection: 41 tenders and a 38% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: eight tenders and a 7.4% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: six tenders and a 5.6% share
- Others: two tenders and a 1.9% share
- Electricity Supply: one tender and a 0.9% share.
Power tenders in July 2021: Top companies by capacity
The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Turkey (Turkey): 1,000MW from one tender
- General Directorate of Soil Products Office: 4.52MW from one tender
- Muzeum Rolnictwa im. ks. Krzysztofa Kluka w Ciechanowcu and United Nations Development Programme (United States): 0.3MW capacity from one tender.
