Europe power industry tenders in November 2021: Poland leads activity

Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in November 2021 with 28 tenders and a share of 43.8%, up 5.9% over the previous month and up 4% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Hungary with four tenders and a share of 6.3% and France with three tenders and a share of 4.7% during the month.

Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 27 tenders, followed by France with 13 and Germany with nine tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in November 2021

Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 17 tenders and a 56.7% share, followed by thermal with ten tenders and a 33.3% share and wind with two tenders and a 6.7% share.

Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, Power Plant was the most popular segment in November 2021, with 18 tenders, followed by T&D Project (17) and Generation Equipment (13).

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 27 tenders and a 42.2% share
  2. Supply & Erection: 18 tenders and a 28.1% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 13 tenders and a 20.3% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: five tenders and a 7.8% share
  5. Others: one tender and a 1.6% share.

Power tenders in November 2021: Top companies by capacity

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. Ministarstvo Gospodarstva Zupanije Zapadnohercegovacke: 25MW from one tender
  2. Newcastle International Airport: 3MW from one tender
  3. Pinarhisar Municipality: 0.8MW capacity from one tender.
