South and Central America power industry tenders in December 2021: Bolivia leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Bolivia led the activity in December 2021 with 14 tenders and a share of 53.8%, down 9.1% over the previous month and up 17% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Ecuador with three tenders and a share of 11.5% and Guyana with one tender and a share of 3.8% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Bolivia held the top spot with 12 tenders, followed by Uruguay with four and Paraguay with two tenders.

Hydro is top technology area for tenders in December 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, hydro accounted for the largest proportion with five tenders and a 38.5% share, followed by solar with four tenders and a 30.8% share and thermal with two tenders and a 15.4% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in South and Central America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in December 2021, with 11 tenders, followed by Power Plant (9) and T&D Project (6).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 12 tenders and a 46.2% share
