South and Central America power industry tenders in September 2021: Bolivia leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Bolivia led the activity in September 2021 with 12 tenders and a share of 38.7%, up 4.3% over the previous month and up 20% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Uruguay with seven tenders and a share of 22.6% and Paraguay with three tenders and a share of 9.7% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Bolivia held the top spot with ten tenders, followed by Uruguay with three and Trinidad and Tobago with two tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in September 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with five tenders and a 31.3% share, followed by biopower with three tenders and an 18.8% share and hydro with three tenders and an 18.8% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in South and Central America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in September 2021, with 14 tenders, followed by T&D Project (10) and Power Plant (4).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
