Description
The project is developed and owned by TRN Energy.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Light Diesel Oil,Heavy Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from South Eastern Coalfields Limited.
The project cost is $566.632m.

The project got commissioned in August 2016.

Chhattisgarh State Power Trading, PTC India, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution and Telangana State Power Coordination Committee are the power offtakers from the project.
Contractors involved
BGR Energy Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
China Western Power Industrial was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project.
China Western Power Industrial supplied electric generator for the project.
China Western Power Industrial supplied steam boiler for the project.
