Description

The project was developed by Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Generation. Chubu Electric Power, Marubeni and Terras Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 48.5%, 48.5% and 3% respectively.

The project generates 340GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 110,000 households.

Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in August 2023.

Contractors involved

Toyo Engineering was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Andritz Hydro supplied steam boiler for the project.
