Description

The project was developed by Obrascon Huarte Lain and OPDE Holding. The project is currently owned by OPDE Holding with a stake of 100%.

Alcala de Guadaira Solar PV Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 130 hectares.

The project generates 101GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 34,000 households, offsetting 72,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Centrica under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years. The contracted capacity is 45.8MW.

Contractors involved

OPDE Holding was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Risen Energy was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 135,090 modules each with 370W of nameplate capacity.

Gamesa Electric supplied 18 of its GAMESA E - 2.5MVA-SB-I inverters to the project site.

The mounting systems have been supplied by PV Hardware Solutions SLU for the project.

Obrascon Huarte Lain and OPDE Holding were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
