Description

The project is being developed by Azarakhsh Power Generation. Iranian Power Plant Investment and MAPNA Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 59.99% and 40.01% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Gas Oil.

Aliabad Power Plant (Aliabad Power Plant Steam Turbine Unit I) consists of 1 steam turbine with 160MW nameplate capacity.

Aliabad Power Plant (Aliabad Power Plant Steam Turbine Unit II) consists of 1 steam turbine with 160MW nameplate capacity.

Aliabad Power Plant (Aliabad Power Plant Steam Turbine Unit III) consists of 1 steam turbine with 160MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in May 2010.
