Description
The project was developed by Amin Renewable Energy and Modern Channels Services. Marubeni, Oman Oil Facilities Development, Bahwan Renewable Energy and Nebras Power QPSC are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.1%, 30%, 10% and 9.9% respectively.
Amin Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 4 km².
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households, offsetting 225,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in May 2020.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Petroleum Development Oman under a power purchase agreement for a period of 23 years from 2020. The contracted capacity is 100MW.
Contractors involved
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 335,000 modules at the site.
The inverters were procured from Sungrow Power Supply for the project.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Arctech Solar Holding.
