The project was developed by AQ Volta Renewables, Aurinka Photovoltaic Group and STEAG Solar Energy Solutions (Iberica) SLU. The project is currently owned by AQ Volta Renewables with a stake of 100%.

Aquila Capital Tabernas II Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 125 hectares.

The project generates 103,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 32,960t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 120,652 modules.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Statkraft under a power purchase agreement for a period of 5 years.
