Description

The project was developed by LS Power Development and is currently owned by Capital Dynamics with a stake of 100%.

Arlington Valley Solar Project-2 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,160 acres.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 53,000 households. The project cost is $550m.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2012 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2013.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to San Diego Gas & Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 127MW.

Contractors involved

Fluor was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and Kyocera Solar.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Array Technologies.

Fluor is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2013, for a period of 5 years.
