Description

The project was developed by Clearway Renew and is currently owned by Clearway Energy with a stake of 100%.

Avra Valley Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 300 acres.

The project generates 55,800MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 20,000 households. The project cost is $100m.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tucson Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2012.

First Solar was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 4,100,000 modules each with 85W of nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied 21 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by First Solar.
