Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant that will be used for Peakload. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Diesel.
The project cost is expected to be around $2,994.28m.

Aweer "H" Power Station (Aweer "H" Power Station Phase II) will be equipped with Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbines. The phase consists of 3 gas turbines.
Aweer "H" Power Station (Aweer "H" Power Station Phase III) will be equipped with Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines. The phase consists of 4 gas turbines with 200MW nameplate capacity.
Aweer "H" Power Station (Aweer "H" Power Station Phase IV) will be equipped with Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines. The phase consists of 3 gas turbines.
Siemens is expected to be the supplier of SGen5-100A-2P electric generator for the Aweer "H" Power Station (Aweer "H" Power Station Phase II).
Siemens is expected to be the supplier of SGen5-1200A electric generator for the Aweer "H" Power Station (Aweer "H" Power Station Phase IV).
Siemens is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Aweer "H" Power Station (Aweer "H" Power Station Phase III) for a period of 12 years.
