Description

The project was developed by Barcaldine Remote Community Solar Farm. Foresight Group and Hanwha Energy are currently owning the project.

Barcaldine Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 90 hectares.

The project generates 56,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 5,300 households, offsetting 50,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project got commissioned in 2016.

Contractors involved

Elecnor and Green Light Contractors were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JA Solar Holdings was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 79,000 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Power Electronics Espana for the project.

ENcome Energy Performance Australia is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
