Description

The project is developed and owned by MSU Energy.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel.

The project cost is $300m.

The power generated from the Barker (Tandil) Power Plant (Barker (Tandil) Power Plant Phase II Unit I) is sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.

The power generated from the Barker (Tandil) Power Plant (Barker (Tandil) Power Plant Phase II Unit II) is sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.

The power generated from the Barker (Tandil) Power Plant (Barker (Tandil) Power Plant Unit I) is sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years.

Barker (Tandil) Power Plant (Barker (Tandil) Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with GE Power LM6000-PC™Sprint®* - 50Hz gas turbines. The phase consists of 3 gas turbines with 50MW nameplate capacity.
