Description
The project was developed by Acciona Energia. The project is co-owned by Acciona Energia and Enara Bahrain SPV, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
Benban Acciona Solar PV Park 2 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 97 hectares.
The project generates 130,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 61,472t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in October 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Egyptian Electricity Transmission under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.078kWh for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 50MW.
