Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Mass Group Holding.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Diesel.
The project cost is expected to be around $3,000m.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Bismayah Combined Cycle Power Plant IWPP (Bismayah Combined Cycle Power Plant IWPP Phase III) will be sold to Ministry of Electricity, Iraq under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
