Description

The project is being developed by Enlight Renewable Energy and NV Nordisk Vindkraft. Enlight Renewable Energy and Prime Capital are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 55% and 45% respectively.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 300,000 households, to offset 600,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by October 2022.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 60 units of SG 5.8-170 turbines, each with 6.2MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Bjornberget Wind Farm (Bjornberget Wind Farm Phase I). The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2022, for a period of 15 years.
