Description
The project is being developed by Algonquin Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy Group and Windlectric. Algonquin Power & Utilities and Renewable Energy Group are currently owning the project.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2019. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by April 2022.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Blue Hills Project (Blue Hills Project-I) will be sold to SaskPower International under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 175MW.
Contractors involved
Blue Hills Project (Blue Hills Project-I) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SG 5.0-145 turbines. The phase consists of 35 turbines with 5MW nameplate capacity.
