Description
The project is currently owned by Energia MK with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is lignite. In case of shortage of lignite the plant can also run on Brown Coal. The fuel is procured from Bobov Dol Mine.
Development status
The project got commissioned in December 1973.

The power generated from the project is sold to Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania under a power purchase agreement.
