The project was developed by African Rainbow Energy And Power and Phakwe Power. African Infrastructure Investment Managers, African Rainbow Energy And Power, Cicada Community Trust, Phakwe Power and Reatile Group are currently owning the project.

Boikanyo Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 168 hectares.

The project generates 152,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 62,000 households.

The project consists of 184,000 modules.
