The project is being developed by Belltown Power and Buckeye Partners. The project is currently owned by Buckeye Partners with a stake of 100%.

Buckeye Hill County Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 1,164 acres.

The project is expected to generate 251,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 28,000 households.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to LyondellBasell Industries under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 116MW.

Contractors involved

Burns & McDonnell is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to install 360,000 modules at the site.
