Description
The project is currently owned by Companhia Hidro Eletrica do Sao Francisco with a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.
Development status
The project got commissioned in June 2003.
Contractors involved
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 5 gas turbines, each with 70MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied Horizontal Synchronous electric generator for the project.
