Campos Novos is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,471,000 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 185m and 175.6m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The project generated 3,310 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $523.9m.
