Description

The project was developed by Canunda Power, International Power (Australia), Vestas Wind Systems and Wind Prospect. Engie Services Australia & New Zealand and Mitsui & Co (Australia) are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 72% and 28% respectively.

The project generates 135,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 135,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to AGL Energy under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2005.

Vestas Australian Wind Technology was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.
