Description

The project was developed by China Guangdong Nuclear Power New Energy Offshore Wind Power (Shanwei). China General Nuclear Power and Guangdong Baolihua New Energy Stock are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.

The wind turbines in the CGN Guangdong Shanwei Offshore Wind Farm Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The wind turbines in the CGN Guangdong Shanwei Offshore Wind Farm Phase II are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The project generates 4,500,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 3,500,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

CGN Guangdong Shanwei Offshore Wind Farm (CGN Guangdong Shanwei Offshore Wind Farm Phase I) is equipped with China Ming Yang Wind Power Group MYSE6.45-180 turbines. The phase consists of 78 turbines with 6.45MW nameplate capacity.

CGN Guangdong Shanwei Offshore Wind Farm (CGN Guangdong Shanwei Offshore Wind Farm Phase II) is equipped with China Ming Yang Wind Power Group turbines. The phase consists of 50 turbines, each with 8MW nameplate capacity.
