Description

The project is being developed by Orsted Taiwan. Orsted Taiwan and Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50% and 25% respectively. The turbines will be mounted on fixed jacket foundations.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Taiwan Power under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.204kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 605.2MW.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 75 units of SG 8.0-167 DD turbines.

Chin Fong Machine Industrial and CS Wind are expected to supply towers for the project.
