Description
The project is being developed by Fuzhou Strait Power Generation. China Three Gorges and Fujian Funeng are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 65% and 35% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 1,000,000MWh electricity to offset 850,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project will be spread over an area of 32.1km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed suction pile jacket foundations and will be interconnected by 35kV inter-array cable.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Contractors involved
Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm (Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm Phase I) will be equipped with Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology turbines. The phase consists of 14 turbines, each with 6.7MW nameplate capacity.
Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm (Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm Phase II A) will be equipped with Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology GW175-8.0MW turbines. The phase consists of 13 turbines with 8MW nameplate capacity.
Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm (Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm Phase II B) will be equipped with Dongfang Electric turbines. The phase consists of 10 turbines, each with 10MW nameplate capacity.
China Hydropower Fourth Bureau (Fuqing) Equipment Engineering is expected to supply towers for the Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm (Changle Area A Offshore Wind Farm Phase II A).
