It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Natural Gas. The fuel is procured from Stepnoy Coal strip Mine, Chernogorskaya Coal Company, Khakassrazrez-Ugol, Vostochno-Beisky, Inta (Intaugol) and Kuznetsk (Yevtinsky and Zadubovsky Coal Strip Mines.
The project generated 3,184,000MWh of electricity.

Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 3 units of K-210-130-3 turbines, each with 210MW nameplate capacity.
