Description
The project is being developed by Cong Thanh Thermal Power Joint Stock and GE Power. The project is currently owned by Cong Thanh Thermal Power Joint Stock with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from Hon Gai and Cam Pha Coal Mines.
The project will generate 3,900,000MWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $931.08m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2011. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

The power generated from the project will be sold to Vietnam Electricity under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 600MW.
