Description

The project was developed by Competitive Power Ventures. Osaka Gas, Competitive Power Ventures and DL Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 25% and 25% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. The fuel is procured from Spectra TETCO Gas Transmission Line.

The project got commissioned in December 2019.

Kiewit Power Constructors was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 453MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of 2x1 MS 7HA.02 gas turbines, each with 372MW nameplate capacity.
