Description

The project was developed by Competitive Power Ventures and GE Energy Financial Services. Osaka Gas USA, Competitive Power Ventures and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 49.5%, 26% and 24.5% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra-low Sulfur Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Algonquin Interstate Pipeline.

The project got commissioned in May 2018.

Gemma Power Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the dual-fuel fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 2 units of 2x1 MS 7HA.01 gas turbines, each with 280.5MW nameplate capacity.
