Description

The project was developed by Global Power Generation Australia and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Australia. Naturgy Energy Group and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.

The project generates 300,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 42,000 households, offsetting 295,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 95m high towers.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to ACT Government under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.062kWh for a period of 20.00 years, starting from 2018.

Contractors involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 28 units of 130-3.4 MW turbines, each with 3.4MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2018, for a period of 5 years.
