The project is being developed by Dnepr-SpetsGydroEnergoMontazh Open Joint-Stock and UkrHydroEnergo. The project is currently owned by UkrHydroEnergo.

Dnieper HPP - 1 is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 3.32 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 38.7m and 35m respectively. The project is expected to generate 1,634 GWh of electricity.

Dnieper HPP - 1 (Dnieper HPP-1 Active Units) consists of 1 unit of francis turbine with 2.6MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 1927. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 1932.

Dnieper HPP - 1 (Dnieper HPP-1 Active Units) will be equipped with Andritz Hydro francis turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 75MW nameplate capacity.

Dnieper HPP - 1 (Dnieper HPP-1 Active Units) will be equipped with Electrotyazhmash francis turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 72MW nameplate capacity.

Dnieper HPP - 1 (Dnieper HPP-1 Under Rehab Units) will be equipped with Andritz Hydro francis turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 75kW nameplate capacity.

Andritz Hydro and Electrotyazhmash will supply 3 generators, respectively.
