Description

The project was developed by Guizhou Beipanjiang Electric Power. CPI Guizhou Jinyuan Group, Guangdong Energy Group, Guizhou Qianyuan Power, Hydrochina Guiyang Engineering, Liupanshui Jiangyuan Power Company Limited and Qianxinan Prefecture Industrial Investment Limited Liability Company are currently owning the project.

Dongjing (Beipan) is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 955 million cubic meter. The project generated 3,026 GWh of electricity.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2005 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2009.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of francis turbines, each with 220MW nameplate capacity.

Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions supplied 4 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 220 MVA.
