Description
The project was developed by SunEdison.
El Chaparral Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 140 acres.
The project generates 26,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 2,400 households. The project cost is $50.005m.
Development status
The project got commissioned in June 2012.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to El Paso Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
Contractors involved
SunEdison was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 40,300 modules at the site.
SunEdison is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
